As we wrap up another incredible year, I want to reflect on our epic achievements and wish everyone an amazing holiday season. This academic year has been one for the books, filled with accomplishments, milestones, and unforgettable memories. Most notably though it is the end of the beginning for the Senior School as it marks our first year of true graduates and leavers, with our Year 13s moving on to greater things.

Celebrating Epic Achievements

From academic excellence to outstanding performances in sports and the arts, our students have truly outdone themselves. We have seen remarkable progress in various fields, with students achieving top marks in their exams from the Academic Year of 2022/23, winning regional and national competitions, and showcasing their talents in numerous school events. The students' hard work, dedication, and perseverance have paid off, and I hope all are proud of their efforts; the achievements take care of themselves.

A Historic Year for the Senior School

This year marked a significant milestone as the Senior school completed its final academic year. It has been a journey filled with growth, learning, and countless memories. We celebrated the end of this era with an incredible prom, a heartfelt graduation ceremony, and an inspiring prize-giving event. These events were not just a celebration of your achievements but also a fitting end to an epic year, highlighting the spirit, resilience, and camaraderie of our students; the pioneers. On this note, I would like one last special mention to our Year 13s, our incredible pioneers. Their journey with us has been nothing short of remarkable. They have set the bar high and have been an inspiration to their peers. As they move on to the next stage of their lives, the DBS community wishes you all the best in your future endeavours. Their legacy will always be remembered, and you will always be a part of our community.

Looking Ahead

As we look forward to the next chapter, we are excited to welcome students back on August 21st. The new academic year promises to be filled with new opportunities, challenges, and successes.  I hope all enjoy their holidays, recharge, and come back ready for another fantastic year.
