Sunflower Class

We have had another wonderful week in the Sunflower Class. This week in the Sunflower Class we have been exploring a range of vegetables.  This focus has provided lots of different sensory learning opportunities and allowed us to revisit the descriptive words we were using during book week, as we talked about how the vegetables felt, using words such as bumpy, smooth, soft and hard.

The children are showing a growing interest in mark making and many of them had a go a drawing different vegetables, carefully looking at shape and size, and representing this in their drawings.

Next week we will move on to exploring fruit and we are looking forward to welcoming our Sunflower Families into class on Wednesday for Family Time, where you will get the opportunity to engage in sensory learning with your child.
