Caterpillar Class - 24th May

Another action packed week has zoomed by for Reception Caterpillars. It was brilliant to see you all during Family Time on Wednesday and the children loved sharing their classroom with you so once again thank you for all your support. Our trip to Kiztopia on Friday was amazing, the children showed great energy and enthusiasm in exploring new spaces and adapting to a different routine. We climbed and ran and swung and used so much new language and of course enjoyed celebrating the end of our unit on Giraffe’s Can’t Dance.

Our learning continued amongst all the different activities and we used our Maths skills throughout the week to talk about sharing and grouping objects equally, including ourselves! We had a lovely parcel arrive from Scotland full of letters from children in a school there. This was a great follow up to our International Day in Term 2 and was a lovely way to develop our understanding of the world by looking at similarities and difference between our lives and the lives of the children in a small Scottish school. We talked about our favourite things at DBS and our favourite places in and around Bangkok before beginning to write our own letters ready to post into the box next week.
