ฺีButterfly Class : 3rd May 2024

The Butterfly class has been flying in so many ways this week! The children continue to be interested in aeroplanes and so we have really embraced their interests this week. They have been using their phonics skills to write air tickets for each other and they have used maps to locate where in the world they wish to fly. There has been a steady flow of chefs, making food for all of the people on board. The children have impressed us with their amazing English language skills and ever increasing vocabulary as they prepare and discuss what they need on board. They have looked at photos of the Earth from the sky and even made their own control station in the cockpit.

Other Butterflies have been particularly interested in making paints and have been experimenting how to make new colours by mixing different chalk dust together. They have particularly enjoyed painting pictures of flowers and writing their names too.

In Maths, the children are now really confident with the concept of addition. They have been brilliant at using the resources we have available around the classroom to make up their own addition stories and have enjoyed telling them to their friends.

Enjoy the weekend everyone:)
