Head of Pre-Prep's Message
As we come to the end of another bustling term in the Pre-Prep, I am filled with joy reflecting on the incredible experiences our children have had over the past six weeks. It's been a whirlwind of exploration, learning, and fun-filled activities, and I'm immensely proud of each and every one of our young learners.
Our journey this term has taken us to fascinating places and engaged us in enriching experiences. From our captivating trip to the planetarium, where the wonders of the universe sparked curiosity and imagination, to the delightful visit to Pa Jeep Farm, where our children got hands-on with nature and learned about farm life.
The butterfly park proved to be a magical adventure, as our students marvelled at the vibrant colours and watched them land on each other. Our Space themed Creative Curriculum Week was truly out of this world! It ignited the imaginations of our students, who delved into a variety of creative projects and activities inspired by the wonders of the cosmos.
One of the highlights this half term was when the Bangkok Soap Opera team visited, providing a unique opportunity for our children to craft their own soaps while learning about the art of soap making. Our class assemblies continued to shine, showcasing the talents and achievements of our students, fostering confidence and camaraderie among peers.
And what better way to wrap up the term than with our Easter egg hunt and Songkran festivities! Laughter filled the air as the children hunted for eggs, and joy radiated as we celebrated Songkran with the vibrant energy of the Joe Louis puppet show and the refreshing splash of our Water Olympics.
It's been an incredibly exciting time in the Pre-Prep, and I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated teachers and LAs whose passion and commitment make these experiences possible. As we head into the Songkran break, I wish you all a joyous and rejuvenating holiday. May this time be filled with precious moments spent with loved ones, laughter, and relaxation.
We eagerly anticipate welcoming the children back to school on Monday, April 22nd, as we embark on a new term filled with excitement and learning. We kick off with our DBS Book Week, promising even more adventures in the world of literature and imagination.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and here's to another term of growth, discovery, and endless possibilities.
Wishing you all a Happy Songkran!
Best regards,
Sophie Berry
