Headmaster's Message 8th March 2024

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Last weekend we held our first Thai University fair. It was great to see so many attendees and was a great opportunity for parents and students to hear first hand about the admissions process for several universities.

We had a big week of sport last weekend. Our U13 boys and girls were competing in the U13 FOBISIA games. The level of competition was extremely high and in some games, luck was not on our side but we still finished in respectable mid-table positions in basketball, swimming and athletics. We also had under 11 FOBISIA tennis last weekend and our squad were on top of their game. All of our players were unbeaten on the first day making it to the quarterfinals. Preme and Elle both made it to the finals, finishing in an admirable second place. Well done to all of our young athletes for an amazing weekend of sport last weekend and to our PE teachers for giving up their weekends to accompany them.

Today was International Women's Day. This morning I popped into the Year 5 and 6 assembly. One student asked 'when is international men's day?' I interjected that the other 364 days are international men's day! If things were more equal, we would not need to have an International Women's Day. There is still much work to do with regard to gender equality and we hope that today's assemblies which highlighted the achievements of many female leaders showed all of our girls that anything is possible.

Next week we have a busy calendar of events with STEAM Week, a visit from the Beaumont School, our Eco-conference and our first ever Pancake run. After going for a run last night in the heat, I have to say I am looking forward to the pancakes after the run!

Have a nice weekend!
