Caterpillar Class - 8th March

 

Another amazing and busy week for the Caterpillar Class. We have given our seeds water and light to help them sprout and are looking forward to planting them next week. Maths this week has focused on 3D shapes and we loved going on a shape hunt finding spheres, cubes, cuboids and pyramids in everyday objects. The highlight of the week was every child visit to the woodwork area where we learnt how to use a hammer, saw and drill while exploring different materials to make boats, houses and animals. We are looking forward to showing everyone our finished creations next week. In the classroom we have also enjoyed exploring some slime. We have talked about how the texture changed from sticky to smooth and stretchy and have tried to see who can stretch it the farthest.
