Head of Prep's Message

Dear Prep School Parents and Guardians,

Happy Lunar New Year to our wonderful school community! As we embrace the Year of the Dragon, I hope the festivities, both today and over the weekend, bring joy, prosperity, and good fortune to you all. Today was a fantastic celebration of this vibrant cultural event. The morning began with the highly anticipated dragon dance, which captivated the whole community. Additionally, our Mandarin department put on a fabulous Chinese New Year show, showcasing the talents and dedication of our students. It was an absolute joy to watch, thank you to everyone who worked hard behind the scenes to make it happen and to the students for sharing their wonderful performances.

Over the last two weeks we have hosted Parent Teacher Meetings for students in Years 3-6. Your active participation and genuine engagement made these meetings meaningful and productive. We appreciate the valuable insights and open communication that transpired during these sessions. The partnership between school and home plays a crucial role in the overall development of your children. Our next session of meetings will be on Monday, 12th February, for parents of Year 7 students. We are delighted to see such a great sign-up and hope the meetings will be purposeful and productive. Our final set of meetings for Year 8 parents will take place on 20th March, so remember to save the date.

To further improve our systems of feedback regarding your child's education, we are working on ways to develop the school reports. Please look out for a letter shared today asking for your feedback and views on our school reporting system. Your thoughts and suggestions are invaluable to us as we strive to continually improve and tailor our reporting process to meet the needs of our school community.
