Celebrating Mathematical Brilliance at DBS!

Last week, a record 127 of our brilliant students, ranging from Year 8 to Year 11, took part in the UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge in our brand new examination centre. The UKMT challenges are globally recognised competitions held annually to promote a love and curiosity about the subject.

Mr. Woolaston, Head of Mathematics, emphasised the significance of Mathematics in the wider world and the opportunities offered at DBS.

He remarked, "We are incredibly proud of the opportunities we provide here at DBS. Promoting this competition to all students underscores our belief that Mathematics is a critical skill for everyone, not just a select few. For us, it's essential to recognise and celebrate our students' successes, whether it's an improved score compared to the previous year or the achievement of a coveted gold certificate.

At DBS, we are committed to making Mathematics accessible to every student, fostering a love for the subject and ensuring it becomes an integral part of their educational experience."
Stay tuned for the results, and let's continue to champion the success of our remarkable mathematicians!
