🎸🏅 2024 FOBISIA Battle of the Bands

Pickle Town grab gold! On Saturday, 27 Jan, DBS was represented on stage at one of the highly contested events in the FOBISIA events calendar – the annual Battle of the Bands competition. This journey started from the audition round, where our Key Stage 3 band Pickle Town emerged from over 60 entries which were submitted, and progressed onto the live finals in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With their medley performance of Queen’s ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ and Metallica’s ‘Sandman’, Pickle Town went on to impress the judges and finished in the top tier with a Gold award – the highest award category of the competition. The progress they have demonstrated since their debut at the 2023 edition of the competition a year ago is down to the effort and practice they have put in to continually improve their stagecraft and musicianship.


Well done to BM (8KKE), Bright (8CCE), Cheetah (9RMM), Lucas (8CCE), My Friend (9RMM) and Tee (9ATA for such an electrifying performance, and thanks go to International School @ ParkCity for hosting the wonderful 2024 edition of FOBISIA Battle of the Bands!
