Headmaster's message Friday 12th January 2024
Dear Parents and Guardians,
It was a pleasure to welcome your children back to school this week. I hope they had a restful break. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year!
On Monday, all staff were in school for training on a range of areas relating to teaching and learning, pastoral care and also some sports training for teachers involved in coaching. This training aligned us for our priorities in the term ahead.
It has been a busy first week back and we had our first House events of the term with some house basketball and football competitions in Prep. Thankfully the air quality today was good enough for this. We have had to make several adjustments due to air quality this week and we monitor the air quality at regular intervals throughout the day.
Next week, I will be in London from Tuesday for our second round of recruitment. We have exceptionally low teacher turnover this year so most of our recruitment is focusing on additional teachers due to the expansion of the school.
We have a fun term ahead with much to look forward to including Chinese New Year and also our annual International Day. We will also be organising some community events like coffee mornings, parent forums and a fun run. Watch this space!
Have a nice weekend and wishing all of our students a happy Children's Day tomorrow
Jonny Liddell
