Caterpillar Class - 24th November

 

What a brilliant job all the children did in their Christmas Show, we are so proud of them and their efforts singing and dancing on stage. Thank you for coming and watching the show, as always your support means such a lot.

This week we have spent lots of time talking about different ways of celebrating and the different festivals we enjoy learning about. As well as Christmas we have also been creating lotus Krathong in Thai and are getting ready to celebrate Loy Krathong on Monday. We have explored different textures and used our find motor skills to create decorations from paper and card. 

In phonics we have continued to focus on securing our knowledge of all the set 1 sounds and have been working hard on our blending of sounds to read words. Thank you to all our families who have been reading the sound blending books at home. For Maths this week we looked at lots of different ways to make numbers to 10 and hunted for groups of objects to match the numbers inside and outside of the classroom.
