Mid-Autumn Festival

Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, holds a significant place in China and within Chinese-speaking communities worldwide. It's a time for families to unite and share their joy.

At DBS, we wholeheartedly embrace this festival, encouraging our students to partake in its celebrations. In the Upper-Prep and Senior School, students had the unique opportunity to craft authentic mooncakes themselves, actively participating in the entire process. In the Lower-Prep, various other activities related to this wonderful festival, such as play dough and paper crafts, were provided for students. These activities offered students a deeper understanding of the cultural background, fostering greater engagement with the curriculum. Learning not only the language but also the culture it embodies is a vital aspect of their educational journey.
