Head of Pre-Prep's Message

 Dear Pre-Prep Parents,

It has been an exciting week filled with celebrations, and our focus has been on sports, fitness, and the valuable lessons they teach our young learners.

This week, we had the pleasure of inviting parents to observe our Nursery and Reception swimming lessons. It was a fantastic opportunity for you to witness firsthand how our dedicated swim coaches approach teaching our youngest learners. Your presence encouraged and motivated our little swimmers, and we appreciate your support in nurturing their aquatic skills.

Wednesday marked our annual Year 1 and 2 Sports Day, and we were thrilled to see so many parents in attendance, cheering on their children. The event was truly a sight to behold, with a colourful sea of flags and banners created by the Early Years children to support the athletes in their respective houses. Congratulations to the Balmoral Parents for winning the prize of 25 extra house points for being the best dressed parents on the day!

Sports Day showcased our school values in action, demonstrating generosity, integrity, humility, empathy, and courage. Parent’s enthusiastic support and encouragement showed immense generosity towards their children and their peers. Our young athletes displayed honesty and fair play throughout the day, setting a positive example for their peers. Whether they won or faced challenges, all our students showed great humility and sportsmanship. The cheers and encouragement exemplified empathy, showing understanding and compassion towards all participants. Finally, our students demonstrated bravery by participating in various sports activities, pushing themselves to do their best. I am so proud of them all for the efforts they made.

We celebrated Wai Kru at school on Thursday, honouring the tradition of paying respect to our teachers. This ceremony provided a meaningful opportunity for our students to express their gratitude to their teachers for their guidance and support. Our teachers feel incredibly lucky to have such special and dedicated students in their classrooms, and they are proud to be part of your children's educational journey.

As the weekend approaches, I hope you take some time to rest and enjoy quality moments with your children. Wishing you all a restful and rejuvenating weekend!

Best regards,

Sophie Berry
