LUNCHTIME CONCERT
We had the pleasure of hosting another inspiring lunchtime concert yesterday (28 Sep), showcasing the incredible musical pursuits of our students. This series has been instrumental -quite literally - in offering a unique platform for our aspiring musicians to share their passion and progress.
A REHEARSAL STAGE FOR GREATER ENDEAVOURS
As we gear up for the upcoming Music tour to Malaysia, the lunchtime concert series has served as a valuable platform for soloists and ensembles who are going on tour to refine their performance skills. This relaxed setting allows students to receive constructive feedback from both peers and staff within the Music department, all of which contributes to a well-rounded musical education.
Our warmest congratulations to all performers for sharing their progress and passion with us. We look forward to many more such enriching events in the future.πΆ

WEST SIDE STORY MASTERCLASS - AUDITION SUBMISSION
Next week, International School Bangkok (ISB) is offering an esteemed musical theatre vocal masterclass, led by the visiting cast of 'West Side Story'. This is a prestigious opportunity reserved for the top student talent in Bangkok. Participants will get to meet members of the West Side Story touring company then observe them leading a vocal masterclass and dance workshop featuring top high school singers and dancers from around Bangkok.
We're delighted to have been able submit Baibua's (Year 11) captivating rendition of "In My Dreams" from our previous Music Scholars' Recital as her audition piece for this remarkable event.
Both Minnie (Year 11) and Baibua (Year 11) submitted audition videos for the opportunity to participate in this masterclass, and we are pleased to say that both Music scholars have successfully auditioned for a place! The masterclass will take place from 6 to 8 PM at ISB, and all members of the community are welcome to attend. For more information, please email Mr Ang at ang.j@dbsbangkok.ac.th.
This masterclass is part of the Bangkok Festivals student outreach programme for 2023. More information can be found on their website.
